1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to bakkenbuildgroup.com, related pages under that domain, and the project-intake, contact, and trade-partner forms made available through the website (collectively, the “Site”). Carras Technologies LLC operates the Site under the Bakken Build Group name (“Bakken Build Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) from Williston, North Dakota.

This policy covers personal information we process through the Site and related communications. A separate contract, proposal, subcontract, employment notice, or other agreement may provide additional privacy terms for an active business relationship. When another notice applies to a specific interaction, that notice controls for that interaction.

2. Information you provide

We collect information that you choose to provide when you request a project review, contact us, apply to become a trade partner, communicate with us, or otherwise use an interactive feature of the Site.

• Contact and identity information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method, company, and role.
• Project and property information, such as the property address, project name and type, property type, estimated budget, desired start date, scope description, access or scheduling details, and whether you identify as a property manager or commercial client.
• Trade-partner information, such as company and owner or contact details, trade, service area, years in operation, crew size, availability, license information, insurance status, Workforce Safety & Insurance status, and application notes.
• Files and documents, including photographs, plans, drawings, certificates of insurance, trade-license documents, and other materials you decide to upload.
• Communication content, including emails, form messages, responses, feedback, and records of our follow-up.
• Attribution information included with a submission, such as the landing page, referrer, and campaign parameters (for example, UTM source, medium, and campaign).

3. Information collected automatically

When you visit or interact with the Site, our hosting, security, and analytics services may automatically process limited technical and usage information. This can include your Internet Protocol address, request date and time, browser and operating-system type, device category, pages or routes viewed, referring page, approximate geographic area derived from network information, and diagnostic or security events.

We use IP addresses temporarily for request routing, fraud and abuse prevention, rate limiting, troubleshooting, and security. Hosting providers may retain server or security logs according to their own retention schedules and our account configuration.

4. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

The Site currently uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and page performance. Vercel Web Analytics is designed to provide aggregated statistics without third-party advertising cookies or persistent identifiers that track visitors across unrelated websites. We may record a limited custom event when a quote form is submitted, such as language and general property type; we do not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, street addresses, or uploaded files in analytics events.

The public Site does not currently use behavioral advertising. Essential cookies may be used in restricted administrative areas to maintain an authorized staff session and protect account access. You can control cookies through your browser. If we later introduce analytics or advertising technology that materially changes these practices, we will update this policy and provide consent or opt-out controls when required by law.

5. How we use information

We use personal information for legitimate business and operational purposes related to our contracting, project-management, and trade-partner activities.

• Review project fit, clarify scope, assess timing and service-area coverage, and prepare or discuss proposals.
• Respond to inquiries and send transactional confirmations or follow-up communications.
• Evaluate, onboard, and administer trade partners, including reviewing credentials and compliance documents.
• Create and maintain lead, opportunity, project, vendor, compliance, and business records.
• Coordinate with personnel, professional advisers, suppliers, and potential trade partners when reasonably necessary to evaluate or perform requested work.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the Site, forms, communications, and business processes.
• Detect spam, fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Website Terms.
• Comply with legal duties, respond to lawful requests, establish or defend claims, and enforce agreements.
• Create aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not reasonably identify an individual.

6. When we disclose information

We do not disclose personal information simply because it may be commercially valuable. We may disclose it only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

• Service providers that host the Site, provide analytics, databases, private file storage, email delivery, security, communications, or other infrastructure. They process information for us under their terms and safeguards.
• Employees, authorized administrators, affiliated operations, professional advisers, and contractors who need the information to perform legitimate duties.
• Trade partners, suppliers, estimators, consultants, or other project participants when needed to evaluate a requested scope, obtain pricing or availability, or perform work you authorize. We seek to limit disclosures to what is reasonably necessary.
• Government agencies, regulators, law enforcement, courts, insurers, or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, protects rights or safety, prevents fraud, or is necessary for a legal claim.
• A buyer, successor, lender, or adviser in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality measures.
• Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

7. No sale or targeted-advertising sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use submitted project or trade-partner information to build advertising profiles about individuals. If these practices change, we will update this policy and provide legally required notices and choices before applying the new practice to covered information.

Because we do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control do not change our current processing. We will recognize such signals if and when applicable law requires them for a future covered practice.

8. Uploaded files and sensitive information

Files may contain personal information about you, property occupants, employees, subcontractors, or others. Before uploading, confirm that you have authority to share the material and remove information that is not needed for our review.

Do not submit Social Security numbers, tax-identification numbers, bank or payment-card details, account passwords, medical records, immigration records, biometric data, or other highly sensitive information through a general website form. If a later project or compliance process requires sensitive information, we will identify an appropriate collection method. We may delete or decline files that appear unnecessary, unsafe, unlawful, or outside the requested scope.

9. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including evaluating an inquiry, administering a relationship, maintaining business and compliance records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting tax, insurance, licensing, accounting, or legal obligations.

Retention depends on the nature of the information and relationship. An inquiry that does not become a project may be retained to support follow-up, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions, document our communications, and evaluate future fit. Records connected to proposals, contracts, completed work, payment, warranties, insurance, safety, or trade-partner compliance may be retained for longer periods required by law or prudent business practice. Backups and provider logs may remain for a limited period after deletion from active systems.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to technical limitations and lawful preservation duties.

10. Security and incident response

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transport through HTTPS, access controls, restricted administrative areas, validation and size limits for uploaded files, rate limiting, and private storage configurations when file storage is enabled.

No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for using a secure device and connection and for avoiding unnecessary sensitive information in a submission. If we determine that a security incident requires notice, we will provide notice as required by applicable law, including applicable North Dakota breach-notification requirements.

11. Your privacy choices and requests

You may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, provide access to it, correct inaccurate information, delete information, or limit certain uses. Depending on your residence and whether a particular law applies to us, you may have additional rights such as portability, appeal, or freedom from discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

To protect you and others, we may need to verify your identity or authority before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law permits it, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.

Rights are not absolute. We will explain a denial when required by law.

12. Communications choices

Project confirmations, proposal discussions, safety notices, and other relationship-related messages are transactional rather than marketing communications. You may ask us to stop nonessential promotional email at any time by using an unsubscribe method included in the message or contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary communications about an inquiry, application, project, payment, security issue, or legal matter.

If you provide a telephone number and request telephone or text follow-up, we may use that number for the requested communication. We do not treat a project-intake submission as consent to unrelated automated marketing calls or texts.

13. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for adults seeking construction services or business relationships and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

14. Third-party websites and services

The Site may link to maps, social platforms, suppliers, government resources, or other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this policy. We encourage you to review those notices before providing information. A link does not mean that we control or endorse a third party’s data practices.

15. Processing location

Bakken Build Group operates in the United States. We and our service providers may process or store information in the United States and other locations where providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws different from those where you live. We use providers and contractual arrangements that we believe are appropriate for the nature of the information and service.

We may update this policy as our services, technology, providers, or legal obligations change. The date above identifies the current version.
